Hi, I’m Troy Woodard!

My name is Troy Woodard and I am excited to share my interest in serving on the Wauwatosa School Board.

As a father of two elementary-aged children in our district and an engineer with a specialized background in futurecasting and long-range capital planning, I am eager to share my skills to support the long-term growth and success of our school district. My professional experience in managing billions of dollars in capital projects with a keen focus on minimizing disruptions to existing operations makes me uniquely qualified to support the district's long-term success. I hope to help guide the district through the complexities of this era of referenda, infrastructure planning, and STEM growth. Additionally, over 10 years of service on the Industry Advisory Council at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) has strengthened my ability to collaborate with educators and industry partners to shape curricula and support accreditation efforts. This has deepened my commitment to ensuring our schools are equipped with the tools and resources to prepare students for the future.

Like many of you, I see opportunities to enhance transparency and strategic planning in our school district. By fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration, we can ensure our district is well-positioned for success within fiscal limits. I am passionate about using innovative solutions to address community needs, such as improving infrastructure, expanding STEM opportunities, and equipping teachers and students with modern tools for success.

In addition to driving innovation, I am committed to ensuring every student has the resources to thrive, and every educator feels valued and supported. As a parent, I want Wauwatosa schools to continue to be a source of pride for our community and I want to ensure that every child in our district has access to modern resources and innovative opportunities. I value the insights and expertise of our families, educators, and community members, and I look forward to learning from and working alongside you to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead.
